Marie Gay

Marie Gay, 89, passed away December 29, 2016. She was born in Henderson, NC to the late Joseph Jones, Sr. and Mary Cheek on August 6, 1927. Marie was married to Samuel Gay; they had two sons James and Samuel, Jr. She was a member of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, The Maryland Club and the PCUM Women Organization. Marie was a world class traveler, who toured and cruised around the world with her many friends. She will be sorely missed by all the friends whose lives she touched. Peace be with you Marie, God has another angel. Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband Samuel Gay, Sr. and their son Samuel Gay, Jr. She is survived by her son James Gay (Donna) of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law, Gwendolyn of Palm Coast, FL, also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Friday January 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with entombment to be held at Volusia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make any donation to your church or favorite charity.
