Norma E. Holmes, 85, of Elmira, New York, passed away on November 18, 2022, in Palm Coast, Florida. Forever young at heart, her jovial smile and laugh always put a smile on your face. She was a passionate school teacher for many years who truly believed in empowering kids and young adults to believe in themselves and reach their potential. Norma also enjoyed traveling with her late husband John W. Holmes be it via plane to Rome or a roadtrip in the RV to go camping. If you knew her you knew just how much she loved her life!
Norma is survived by her son Aric Holmes, sister Leslie Blandford, brother Wayne Dunham, and her grandkids Jamie Cade, Phoenicia Holmes, Dominique Holmes, Jamar Holmes, Clifford Dearring, and John Charles all of whom referred to her affectionately as “Nana.”
