Peter Cappadonna, 86, passed away August 19, 2012. He was born and raised in Passaic, New Jersey. Peter served in the US NAVY during WWII aboard AKA67 and participated in two invasions, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After the war he worked for New Jersey Transit for forty-four years.
Peter is survived by his wife of forty-two years Vera whom he married April 11, 1970, loving children Joseph Cappadonna and Kathleen Yarmonchik, 2 grand daughters, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Eleanor and a granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday August 23, 2012 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow the service at Volusia Memorial Park. Donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia Flagler.
