Richard Guy Bennett, 72, of Holly Hill passed away peacefully February 28, 2018. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 27, 1945 to the late Anthony and Violet Bennett (Persich). Richard loved spending time cooking and attending family gatherings. He had a passion for fishing and playing poker at the card room in Daytona. Richard is survived by his son, Dan Bennett; daughter, Natalie Sullivan; son, Ryan Abbott; and daughter, Alex Paxia. Also left to cherish his memory are six grandchildren and one brother. Richard will be missed dearly by his family and many close friends. A visitation will take place Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach.
