Graveside service with Army military honors for Richard Clarence White who passed away March 16, 2011 will be 10:30am Saturday March 19, 2011 at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. Mr. White was born in Bucyrus, Ohio and moved to this area in 2002 from Key West. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service and received a Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW and past president of the VFW in Raeford, NC. Survivors include his son, Michael, Ramseur, NC; daughter, Cathy James, Raeford, NC; sister, Betty Smith, Bucyrus, Ohio and two grandchildren, MacKenna and Mikel White. He was preceeded in death by his wife Beverly in 2005. Donations can be made in Mr. White's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project at P. O. Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
