

Born a military brat to R.M. Jones and Helen Connell. He lived in several places, but called Albany, Georgia, his home, where he attended High School and College. He proudly served with the 101st Airborne Division and the 11th Combat Aviation Battalion in Vietnam from October 1967 until August 1969. He worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company as a supervisor in the Curing Department; until the plant closed. He then moved the family to Daytona Beach, Florida, where his wife Myra was from. He was hired by the City in Water Treatment and left after ten years to expand his knowledge in Reverse Osmosis, Aquifer Storage and Recovery Zenon and Distribution. Before retiring, he managed Water Systems in Iraq, Djibouti, Africa, and Deago Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory for Brown and Root Engineering.
Bobby and Myra enjoyed traveling, especially with their good friends Susan and Rick Wollner. Robert was always open to talking about cars, especially Corvettes, flying or horses.
He had a full life and leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 45 years Myra; children, Susan (Scott) of California; Dung (Tina) of Pennsylvania; Helene of Georgia; Jordan (Adam) of Florida and a host of family and friends.
