Born on August 14, 1947, in Providence, Rhode Island, to Hollice and Rita Hyland Crisp, Ron moved to Florida as a child and spent the majority of his life here. While he held many titles throughout his life, his favorite roles were those of husband, father, and Papa.
Ron was a man of immense heart and legendary tales. An exceptional storyteller, he had a knack for weaving narratives where the line between fact and fiction was often blurred—a quality that kept his friends and family leaning in for more. His kindness was quiet but constant; he was the type of person who would do anything for anyone, whether they were a lifelong friend or a stranger he’d just met. Seeing others happy was his greatest reward.
His simple pleasures were his favorites: driving on the beach and losing himself in a good movie. To Ron, there was no such thing as a bad movie, provided it was accompanied by a large popcorn and a Diet Coke.
Ron is now reunited with the love of his life, his late wife, Linda (Haynes) Crisp. His legacy of love and generosity lives on through his daughter, Angela Stocker (Eric) of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brianna Stocker and Cameron Stocker (Olivia), and his great-grandson, Beau Stocker. He is also survived by his sister, five brothers, nieces and nephews.
While his stories may have come to an end, the impact he made on the lives of those he touched will be felt forever.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm.
In honor of Ron, wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, if you are so inclined.
