

Vincent married Beatrice O’Hara on September 2, 1942. Beatrice was the eldest daughter of the late John and Zayda O’Hara.
Vince worked for 25 years as a Claims Investigator for the New York State Insurance Fund, a division of the Department of Labor. Following his retirement the family moved to Florida in 1974. He enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, good neighbors and the Florida climate. He was also interested in history, genealogy and gardening,
Vince served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the American Legion, post #120, Holly Hill, FL. He was also a charter member #28 of The Society of the Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge.
Vince is preceded in death by his loving wife Beatrice of 70 years, who passed away on September 25, 2012 and their sons Vincent and Thomas Bellows.
He is survived by son Philip Bellows of Livingston Manor, NY; daughter Maria Shaver and husband Frankie of Livingston Manor, NY; son David Bellows and wife Janet of Holly Hill, FL; other survivors include 4 grandsons Tom Harris, Geoffrey Harris, Matt Harris and Phillip Bellows; 2 great-grandsons Ryan and Tommy Harris and 3 great-grand daughters Marissa, Alyssa and Olivia Harris.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL on October 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will take place following Mass at Volusia Memorial Park.
