William A. Walsh

William was an only child born to Roseanna and Thomas Walsh on August 17, 1932 in Irvington, NJ. He attended Seton Hall University and upon graduation he married his childhood sweetheart Peggy Ann Richards, who is also from Irvington, NJ. He was commissioned to the rank of 1st lieutenant in the United States Army, he was stationed in France.

After working many years with Prudential as a Vice President, he ended his impressive career of 47 years with Banker’s Life Insurance Company on Long Island, NY.

William was an avid fisherman and a member of a barbershop quartet. William was the Commander of the Neptune Power Squadron, and the Commodore of the Harbor Boating Club of Huntington, NY. William was also a member of; the Ormond Beach Elks Lodge 2193, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3800, the VFW-Port Orange 3282, the Kiwanis Club and the Daytona Beach Moose Lodge 1263.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Peggy Ann and his children; Michael Walsh (Laurie), William Walsh, Patricia Moran, and Cynthia Bamberger (Scott). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his parents Roseanna and Thomas Walsh, his daughter Kathleen Walsh, and his daughter-in-law Lyn.
