Passed away peacefully with family by her side at The Wynfield on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013, in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Leonard (2000) and by her brothers Robert and Jack. Loving mother of Stephen (Joanne), Nancy Forbes (Larry), Laurie Walker (Kevin), and Randy (Lisa). Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and predeceased by 1 grandchild. Survived by brothers Ken, Harold and Jerry. Bernice will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Special thank you to the staff at The Wynfield Purple Woods wing for all their excellent care and compassion over the years. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, November 7th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, November 8th at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
