Things have changed as you are already aware of, I'm doing my best to remember everything we discussed on the Friday night before you operation I know how you felt about everything and everyone and I will keep my promise. I've been thinking of you a lot lately and still miss you everyday.  I don't really think you realize how important someone is to until they are gone.  You always treated me like your daughter and even fell for my "Puppy Dog Eyes" but I know as I got older you probably just entertained me.  I found two poems that made me think of you and wanted to share them.

In Loving Memory of My Aunt Bonnie

God saw she was getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.

He put His arms around her,
and whispered come with me.

With tearful eyes we watched her
suffer and saw her fade away.

Although we loved her dearly,
we could not make her stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
strong hands are at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

Happy Birthday to my dearest Mother-in-law.

It's hard to believe that it's only been a month since you left us. Even harder not being able to talk to you. I think of you everyday, wishing I could see you on your Birthday, hearing your laugh, listening to your words of wisdom while sharing a piece of cake and enjoying a coffee. I miss watching the kids run to you yelling GRANDMA with arms wide open knowing that you are there to love and care for them.
Noah and Eden ask about you all the time and we talk about the amazing memories that you left for us. We wish you were here but we know you're watching over us.
So today I want to wish you a Happy Birthday and to remember you as you were....funny, sincere, loving, brave, and special.
You may be gone but you live with in Chris, me, Noah & Eden.

Chris and Jen, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time.  I did not know your Mom, but I know my sons thought the world of her and she was so good to them and I'm thankful that they had the honour of knowing her.

Bonnie and I were the two Nana's. to Noah and Eden.  We shared stories about both of the kids and laughed together at Eden's antics. I meet Bonnie and Brian when Jen and Chris were just dating, and I was thrilled to know my daughter was attaching  herself to such loving family. We spent many family dinners together over the years and shared the excitement of welcoming our grand babies together. I spent the night before my marriage to Ken at Bonnie's, with Jennifer and a friend.  She gave me some sound marital advice that evening and hugged me warmly and sincerely.  I felt the love.  Bonnie was a wise woman in many ways. We used to spend a few weekday mornings chatting about family stuff, over coffee before we would head out the door to go work.  
I have many fond memories of the time I spent with Bonnie, and I appreciated how much she loved my children. We couldn't have asked for a better extended family and I will miss her so much.  
Bonnie, I will always keep your memory alive for our grandchildren and will remind them how much you loved them.
You will be greatly missed my friend.
