Doriana Deligio

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doriana Deligio (nee Ziccarelli), beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished aunt, and loving grandmother. Doriana passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 56, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, surrounded by the love of her family. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 32 years, Vito, and their three sons Victor and his wife Alexa, Daniel and his fiancée Natasha, and Nicholas. She was a proud and loving Nonna to Serena and Avereigh, whose presence filled her life with joy and light. She is predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Divina Ziccarelli, and her father-in-law, Vito Grazio Deligio. She is fondly remembered by her mother-in-law Gilda Deligio. Doriana was an adored sister of Teresa (Joe) Custoza, Silvana (Frank) Longo, Paul (Almira) Ziccarelli, and Franca Ziccarelli. She was a dear sister-in-law to Caterina (Joseph) La Torre, Carmela (Donato) DeFilippis, and Tonia (Enrico) Osso. She was a devoted Zia to her many nieces and nephews, and they will always remember her love for them and her contagious laugh. Doriana was an example of resilience, bravery, and unconditional love. She had a special gift for making others feel valued and always offered empathy, a willingness to listen, and selflessly cared for those who were lucky to be around her. Whether you were invited into her house or to her cottage, her presence was a comfort, and her hospitality and warmth came directly from her heart. She left a lasting impact of love and kindness on her family and friends, and she will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 874 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario (905-721-1234) on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at ST. THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH (3800 Courtice Rd, Courtice, ON L1E 2L5) on Monday April 27th at 11am.
