Merry Christmas to the most wonderful man, "my Doug". Three longs years you've been  my angle up above, miss you always, and terribly.   I never struggle to remember our happy memories, they are always on the top of my mind mine every day and night. How you teased me, made me laugh, and our snuggles every night as  we kissed each other, good night. Your lips are still fresh on my  lips,. Your wonderful belly laugh always rings in my ear, in your man cave, to peeking around a corner and coming in our bed room, with your arms pumped, and jumping on the bed waking me up!       I'v, gone through so much pain and loss of a lot, of my love ones,,,, people and pets in the past six years, that were under our roof. You, most of all make me strong as I hear, ya everyday " get up Molly, get yourself pretty, and make your day and mine, smile", then I laugh cause then I'd hear, you'd say " or I'll kick your butt"!      And I do my love ❤..     just wishin all my angels, would be here and see my precious little grandson, I know you would have been such a awesome "grandpa" to Tyson. Oh my, we would have shared such happy times with him,,, he's such a doll, fills a big void for me, missing you and my parents. Besides our pets,all up with y'all now! I know little "Heidi May" snuggling with you and Nana, getting lots of love❤ ...                                                                  I think it's great that some one, "anonymous", or not,  sends you a message on this messenger, that's what I kept this on for, your buddies, friends and love ones to do, forever!  I know you, found peace as your soaring with the moon and your wolfs!                    You we're truly one loved man from so many, family, friends, and foes. Not a single day goes by that I do not think about you. It's especially hard near the holidays, because I'm reminded of how I can't share the day with you, see you open a gift, laugh at memories, and create new ones. As the time goes on, the more I find myself struggling to remember all the great times. I want new ones! How I wish I could see you one last time, let you know how much I love you, and how important you were in my life, I didn't get to say that to you enough. I hope you have found peace, and I hope you know just how much you are loved & missed.

Doug E..  one year today.. October 11th 2014, come and gone.....This day is the last day of all my firsts, missing you for not only special occasions, but daily. So unreal its been one year, and yet seems like a life time since you wraped me in your arms, teased me, came in the door with your big smile, and said "women where's my dinner" then chuckled with your belly laugh...My thoughts have been so clear moment to moment the past couple of days, about the last time I saw you, to when you text me at 8:30 am. Oct 11th 2013. Little did I ever dream that would be the last I would ever hear from you, at 1:30pm you left this world,,, I never knew till 8:00pm. Police at my door, my knees buckled from the news, my heart aches.                                              I have made it thru the past year, "esp today", with lots of love and support from my family, friends . So many checking on me always, I am blessed, and have so many (40+yrs) memories of us, and happy times, ESP,,,,the past few years !!                                                      We, all tried to make the best, of a sad day, your two favorite buds were here, joining our family, much talk and laughs, as well of tears about how wonderful and loved, and so missed you are to so many of us.. Last year Oct 17th 2013 we said our good byes to you in a coffin, so sad, as it was your 58th birthday. Not the way anyone of us wanted to say "Happy Birthday",but you had at least, 100 people on driveway and in your man cave wishing so, all with broken hearts. That my love,  was the first of my hurt full, firsts, of celebrations.... Thanks to you, I hear you, in my head,,, every day,"Moll get up,get pretty, and go women!! " now come this Friday, your birthday, it's all my seconds, starting, and another year with out you.. I will be strong, again, for you, as you are the one that must miss us all, and we're taken before your time, and your bucket list was not done....We had so many plans, for our future yet...Love  you my dear Doug...forever your Molly...xoxoxox..

It's coming up to one year Doug you left us all.. I'm having a very hard week, thinking of a year ago and what we we're doing. I can so see and feel every thing we did the week before you went on your, as you said your last tour for year. You so wanted me to come. I remember you coming home and saying," what Moll I really thought you would have my stuff out of back box and yours in it" I chuckled, got to clean house and have a nice thanks giving dinner for you when you come home on Sunday.. "Yea, baby" you said,, but you never came home.. Oh Doug, I have to go on, I here you behind me telling me to, but it isn't easy, the most devising thing that ever happen in my life.. I know you are around me so much it's scary,, a good scary, you help me to continue my daily life.. I see you so much here, in our comfort zone, daily. My children and you good friends are going to have a memorial for you Saturday October 11th in your man cave. Beers, steaks, a fire, and you know,, oh yes, Tammy with her  fire works,,,knowing you will be watching from up above.. Best way to tell you, we all love and miss you soo much... Doug, It was great fun to tease my little buddy about how her face lit up when she spoke of you, she was so crazy with love for you, her world will never be the same with out you. Almost two months later, and it still feels like this happened yesterday. I miss you so much Dad. Not a day goes by where I don't think about you... i love you.

I met Doug in September, we shared a few laughs, we shared a few motorcycle stories, we talked about riding together... I'm sure we could have been friends. Though I barely knew you Doug, I will remember you. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and with you Molly.

Last time I spoke to cousin Doug was late spring 2011 My thoroughbred mares were leased out to a farm near Belleville. Periodically, I checked on them. Janice and Deb mentioned Doug had moved from Oshawa to Brighton.I called Doug driving by one weekend. Doug wasn't home but we talked for a bit.I recall telling him a couple of school bus jokes and then him telling me a couple of good horse jokes. Dougs laugh, unforgettable.It was the best.  I'll always remember Uncle Terrys pancakes, Minnies Christmas dinner on Gibbons St  Ski-doos in Coe Hill,  Euchre card games in Muskoka, Dougs bond fire at Lake Simcoe, and even Corky, one of the Earhart family dogs. My wife & I carried your family's loss throughout our travels this past weekend as we slowly drove past the accident scene early Friday afternoon. Though Mr. Earhart is a stranger to us, we continued our journey with heavy hearts.  This tragic day has particularly touched us. We suffered a near fatal crash ourselves 23 years ago several kilometers from this fatal spot. 
Upon reading the Ottawa newspaper article on-line and discovering Mr. Earhart's identity, we simply want to send you and your family our deepest condolences.  God Bless you all.

I too came upon the scene of the accident a few moments after it occured.   I wanted to let you know that I said a prayer for the person I saw laying there as I drove past.  The image is burned in my mind and I have been thinking of it ever since.  I felt compelled to research what happened that day and to put a name to the face.  I now know the person I saw was Mr. Earhart.  I am so sorry for your sudden loss.  May you find courage and strength in the loving support of your friends and family.  All of God's blessings at this difficult time.

Debbie, There are no words to tell you how deeply sorry and saddened I am for the loss of your dear brother Doug.  I have so many wonderful memories of him.  One of the times I was in Ontario he took me out to a fancy dinner and  we laughed and talked until the restaurant closed in the early morning hours.
