Gail passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2026. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, John Sylvestervich, as well as her parents, W. Webber and Phyllis (Evans) Williams, and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth & Chone Williams. Gail will be sadly missed by her children, Andrea (Robert), Paul (Dorota) and Krista (Jason), and her cherished grandchildren, Heather, Daphne, Jonathan, Liam, & Tegan, and her nieces and nephew.
Gail grew up in Thamesville, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1959 and commenced her teaching career at Henry St. High School in Whitby, where she met the love of her life, John. After a few years instilling a love of Latin in many students, Gail took some time away from teaching to focus on being an amazing mother. Gail was a dedicated Girl Guide leader for many years, sharing her love of Guiding with countless others. Eventually, Gail started a second career in Real Estate, which she enjoyed for many years. Gail was an active member of Faith United Church, participating in many committees, leading the book club, and enthusiastically welcoming newcomers to the Faith family. In her final years, Gail enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the wonderful PSWs and nurse (Tamlyn, Suzan, Kamesha & Nisha) who provided such loving care to Gail in her final years.
