Gregory Llewellyn Kane

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012, in his 79th year. Dearly beloved husband of Donna, and predeceased by his first wife Gloria. Loving father of Bruce (Lois), Tim (Angie) and Janice Mackinnon (Norm). Dear uncle of Tracey Denby (Rob) and Dana McDonald (Blair). Cherished Grampa of Grant, Adam, John, Leighton, Chelsea, Shannon, Lachlan, Morgan, Nolan, Ethan and Carter. Survived by his sisters Pauline Mills (late Bob), Mary Kane and predeceased by Howard (Addie), Maurice (Beth), Colin, Brian, Marg Jeffery (Winn) and Allan (Fran). Survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Kane, Vivian Boissoin (Frank), Joan Simkin (Ted) and brother-in-law Bill Clark (Bernie). Loved by many nieces and nephews. Greg will be remembered for being a dedicated employee managing many drug stores including Lovell Drug Stores for many years; and Chartered 35 year member of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, January 12th from 5 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH (194 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa) on Friday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. Cremation. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
