Harold O'Neill

With characteristic dignity and in complete peace, Harold Francis O’Neill passed away in his home in the presence of his loving wife of 52 years Anne (nee Tunney). Harry was the son of John (1985) and Marguerite O’Neill (1984) of Peterborough, ON. He leaves a rich legacy in his children Peggy (Dale) McQuaid, Chris (Kari), John (Charlotte), Mary (WC) Hazlebeck, Joe (Milka) and Michael. He was the beloved grandfather to Jamie, Stephanie and Benjamin McQuaid (1996), Christian, Cian, Liam, Lily and Blaise O’Neill, Luke and Jack Hazlebeck and Michael Loyst. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Gerry (Joella), Lillian (Paul-predeceased) Phelan, Marlene (Keith) Jackson and Jack (Mary Ann), and brother-in-law to Teresa (Frank predeceased) McDonnell, Jack and Ann Tunney (both predeceased), Jerry (Renate) Tunney, Murray (Tess) Tunney and Peter (Connie) Tunney. He was cherished by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Friday, March 11th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Rosary will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the CHURCH OF ST. GREGORY THE GREAT (194 Simcoe St. N, Oshawa) on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
