Peacefully at the Toronto General Hospital on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Coombs) for 59 years. Dear father of Michael and his wife Rosemary, Diane and her husband Gord Waldriff, Susan and her husband Jason Herrington. Loving Papa of Christopher (Jessica), Andrew, Nicole, Daniel, Ryan and Erin. Brother of Allan (Nancy) and the late Kenneth (Frances). Howie will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, January 13th from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the Heritage Room. Memorial donations to the Toronto General Hospital would be appreciated.
