Irene Mary Daly

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Irene Daly on January 26, 2025. Loving wife of the late Frank W. Daly. Adored mother of Leanna, Gary, Straun and Tyrone. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Morgan Taylor and Mackenzie Daly and great grandchild Aubrey Taylor.

She will be missed by her siblings William, Robert and Zan. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Annie Dzikewich.

Irene will be remembered by her family and friends. As a wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, aunt and friend, she was loving, true and trustworthy.

She was always ready and willing to listen and help whenever needed. Our mother was a strong, resilient and beautiful woman. She was tenacious, respectful and kind.

A special mention should be noted, her son Straun Daly cared for our mother in her home for 21 years. Mother stated so many times that she would have died much earlier if it hadn’t been for her son Straun caring for her.

The family appreciates all of your prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 857 King Street West on Wednesday February 5, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. and at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church (209 Cochrane Street, Whitby) on Thursday, February 6 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery.
