Joseph Miniaci

(November 5th, 1924 – June 25th, 2014)

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 at Thornton View Long Term Care Home at the age of 89 years with his family by his side. Retired General Motors employee and Dunlop-Firestone Co. employee for many years of service. Throughout his illness, he maintained his gentleman like humour and enjoying each and every day with family and friends. Beloved husband of Lina for 66 years of a loving marriage. Much loved father of Mary, Tony, Pino, Alba and their spouses. Amazing Nonno of Mary-Lou, Michelle, John, Sara Lyn, Joseph, Anthony, Michelina, Sebastian and their spouses. Proud Nonno Joe to five great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and friends. Our sincere thanks to Thorntonview Long Term Care compassionate staff for their continued support and loving care. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Friday, June 27th, 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave. Oshawa) on Saturday, June 28th, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations may be made to Thornton View Long Term Care – Trillium Unit or the Alzheimer Society.
