Lynda spent the majority of her adult life in beautiful Parry Sound and had many friends that she met through curling, bowling, cottage summers and volunteering. Upon moving to Harmony Hill Retirement Home, she met more friends and stayed active in her community - always walking and attending recreational activities while enjoying time with her family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Peter and will be held in the hearts of her daughter Tanya and her son-in-law David, daughter Donna and her son-in-law Lwazi as well as her grandchildren Themba, Elliott, Liyanda and Clare. She will be greatly missed by her large extended family, her supportive friends and neighbours.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, April 19 at The Centennial Building in the Regal Room (416 Centre Street, South, Whitby). We will have a brief drop in from 10:30 to 11:30am to chat with the family and the organized celebration portion of the day will begin at 12:00pm with lunch to follow. Dress code is whatever you feel comfortable wearing—if you’d like a bit of inspiration, Lynda loved jewel tones with a touch of sparkle.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to: The Critical Care Unit of Lakeridge Health Oshawa or the West Parry Sound Cardiac Rehab Program in Lynda's memory.
Interment will take place in Carling Township this coming summer.
