I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Nyland's passing. She was a customer of mine, such an independent woman and always a pleasure to see.

So sorry to hear of Ria's passing.  We shared many, many memories at our Bereaved Families group.  My sympathy to all.

We know Ria through Bereaved Families, and all the  great work she did for the organization.

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Nyland's passing.  I worked at the Loblaws/Superstore on Gibb Street and she was a regular customer of mine for many, many years.  She always had a smile on her face and always took the time to say hello.  She will be greatly missed by myself and many of my colleagues. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this sad time.

Ria regularly wrote letters, sent pictures and called to keep contact with our family. Every Christmas she sent us beautiful home-made angels.

I met Ria following the death of her beloved daughter, Susie, when another mother and I led a bereavement support group.  In her quiet way, Ria brought a calming presence to the room ... as well as a quiet laughter.  She went on to become a friend, one who was committed to helping others through her volunteerism with BFO - Durham.  I shall treasure all the angels from the annual Angels' Tree of Light that Ria made with her own hands and will think of her especially each Christmas when I put up my angel tree.  My deepest sympathies to Ben and the family.

So sorry for your loss Jackie and the girls.  Sounds like your Mother was quite a lady and much loved by her family!  You have many wonderful memories!
