It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Frederick Neil Robinson, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 24, 2026, at the age of 62.
Mark was the beloved son of Shirley and the late Michael Robinson. He will be deeply missed by his two children, Victoria and Matthew. Being their father was the role he cherished most deeply. They were, without question, the center of his world. Mark was also survived by his spouse, Marlene. Although they were separated, they shared many meaningful years together and raised their two children.
He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Janice and Marnie (Duane), and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mark will be remembered by his companion, Paula, as well as extended family and lifelong friends.
Mark was a dedicated Millwright, a lover of literature, and a man who took pride in both hard work and simple pleasures. He was known for his infinite knowledge of every topic, his natural ingenuity, and his habit of collecting scraps; always with a purpose only he fully understood. He had a gift for inventing tools that didn’t exist, solving problems others couldn’t, and becoming the person everyone turned to when something needed fixing.
He found great joy in fishing, tackling the daily newspaper crossword with his coffee, and playing hockey over the years, bringing far more heart than skill to the ice. Mark was an accomplished chess player, winning many tournaments and awards throughout his life. Loyalty was simply part of who he was. It showed up everywhere, including in his lifelong devotion to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, sticking with them through every high and low.
Mark’s quiet strength, steady presence, and enduring love for those closest to him will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date where family will invite all who knew and loved him together, share stories and honour the memories that we live on.
