Mary Assunta Bonello

Born in Senglea, Malta on August 15, 1933. Passed away at Grey Gables LTC in Markdale, Ontario on Friday March 24, 2023 with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of the late Alfred Bonello for 51 years. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Theresa Bonello and loved by 12 brothers and sisters. Cherished mother to Martese (Steve), Josette (Ian), Frances (Sean) and Suzanne (Darrell). Grandma to Savannah, Paige, Lucas, Taylor, Aimee, Shelby, Reed, Ryan, step-grandchild Natasha and her 6 dear great-grandchildren.

Mary was a woman of faith who treasured her family above all. We wish to extend special thanks to the many health care professionals who assisted Mary with compassion and dignity while supporting the entire family with loving care.

Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home on Tues. April 4 from 3 – 5 pm and 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, Whitby on Wed. April 5 at 10:30 am. Feel free to wear colours of your choice in celebration of Mary’s joyful life. Donations in memory of Mary made to The Rosary Path at Mary Lake (www.marylake.com/give/rosary-path-support) would be gratefully appreciated.
