Maureen Janet Marinoff

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maureen on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at the age of 72. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Stephanie Bowes (Chris) and James Walker (Danielle), by her sisters Judith Block (Chester) and Constance Marinoff (Murray Moffat). She will be remembered with great fondness of happy times by her three grandsons that meant the world to her; Jesse and Mitchel Bowes and Jackson Walker. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many other relatives and her close friends. Grandie or Moe will be best remembered for her love of being with her grandsons to read with them, play army or go on an adventure. She always made time for gardening (in all of our gardens!), travel, decorating, reading books and the occasional trip to Rama for a concert and some fun. She was always one to share with others and to bring us all together for happy times. Maureen was a dedicated and diverse employee of Enbridge/Consumers Gas for 25 years. Many thanks to the staff a Lakeridge Health Oshawa - Oncology Department and the wonderful nursing staff on the 6th floor. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. W. (905-721-1234) on Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
