Maurice was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Gertrude.
He is survived by his loving children, Ryan (Bianca), Jordan (Meagan), and Janine (Daniel); and their mother, Regina. Beloved grandfather to Rose, Lyra, and Mabel. Maurice will be fondly remembered by his long time partner, Chi. He was a cherished brother to Edwina (Alex), Mona (Don), Chris (John), and Mandy (Mario). He will be missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Maurice was a passionate American history buff. He dedicated 25 years to Ajax high school, where he shared this passion with his students. Travel was another passion of his. He had toured all 50 American states, with deep admiration for the National Parks, presidential libraries, and historic monuments. His retirement objective was to visit every single National Park, collecting stamps and badges along the way. He also had a love for live entertainment. He filled his evenings with concerts and theatre, and would eagerly regale you with the details of his latest night out. He was a loving and caring father and man, admired by those around him at home and at work.
