Neil Joseph Jones Sr.

Passed away peacefully at Streamway Villa, Cobourg on Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 in his 79th year. Loving husband of Helen for 54 years. Adored Dad of Neil Jr. (Kathy), Joanne (Shawn), and Cheryl (Phil). Cherished grandfather of Robert, Joseph, Richard, Cori and MacKenzie. Neil will also be dearly missed by many extended family and friends. He was a lover of hockey, especially the Bowmanville Eagles, and he enjoyed “puttering in the yard” as well as going to the Legion for the meat rolls. Neil also enjoyed time spent watching the car races. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. The Jones family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate nursing staff at Streamway Villa for taking such great care of Neil and his family during his stay. Memorial Visitation will take place at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, July 21st from 12:00 noon until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for the Parkinson Society or The Legion Poppy Fund.
