After a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Nigel entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 at the age of 57. He was a loving father of Rebecca (Allan), dear brother of Sarah (Jeff) and devoted uncle of Christopher, Cameron and Sara. He will also be missed by his favourite pets Hunter and Gilly. He is predeceased by his parents Gillian and Alan Heath. Nigel was a faithful member of St. George's Memorial Church and volunteered as a server. He was a proud member of Scouts Canada starting with 1st Oshawa Scouts and continuing with 7th Oshawa Rovers. Nigel is retired from Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital where he followed his passion as a Registered Nurse. Service will be held at ST. GEORGE’S MEMORIAL ANGLICAN CHURCH (51 Centre St., Oshawa) on Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or St. George's Memorial Church.
