Paul Swift a retired Toronto firefighter and resident of Port Hope passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on December 10th, 2016 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Peggy for over 49 years. Beloved father of Paul (Maureen) of Cincinnati, Scott (Ange) of Oshawa. Proud Poppa of Corynne, Colleen, Nathan and J.P. He will be fondly remembered by family members and friends. Paul was an avid sports fan and was very devoted to his grandchildren and all their endeavors. The family would like to thank Dr. Ariah Schattner and the nurses on the G-Wing 7th floor at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa for their care and compassion. A service of remembrance was held on Tuesday, December 13th at 4:00 p.m. at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). As an expression of sympathy, donations would be gratefully accepted to Canadian Cancer Society or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.
