Passed away peacefully at Extendicare on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 at the age of 89 (39 and holding). Lovingly remembered by her husband Don for 65 years. Cherished mother of Carol Halton (Ron), Paul (Sandy), Janet Ward (Brian), Donna Palmer (Mark) and Scott (Lynn). Phyllis was adored by 10 grandchildren and 4, (soon to be 5) great grandchildren. Sadly missed by sisters Jean, Evelyn, Helen and Lola. Predeceased by her sister and brothers, Marjorie, Roy, Lyle, Douglas and Garnet. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered by her large extended family and cherished circle of friends. Special thanks to the staff of St. Elizabeth’s Visiting Nurses, Extendicare Oshawa and Dr. Szendrey for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, October 16th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to C.N.I.B would be appreciated.
