After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that Rick passed away peacefully, with his wife and children by his side, on Monday December 30, 2024 at 67 years of age.

Beloved husband of Donna for 47 years. Loving and devoted father of Jennifer (Josh VanDeurzen), Richard (Cheryl) and Dianne (Adam King). Proud Papa of Danielle, Brooke, Zachary, Jacob, Dallas, Alice and Clara. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Agnes Rossi. Dear brother of Donna (Tom), Steve (Cindy), Janice (Bill) and Derrick (Nina). Rick will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law Laura Mullen, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Vickie (the late Brian), Larry (Beth), Glenn (Karen) and Nancy (Les) and his many dear friends. Rick will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Rick was a dedicated employee of General Motors for 30 years. He adored his family, especially his 7 grandchildren. He had a passion for nature and animals, sports, woodworking, and his garden. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West on Wednesday January 8, 2025 from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Thursday January 9, 2025 at the TRULLS ROAD FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 2301 Trulls Road, Courtice, at 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m.
