Peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family on October 16th, 2014 at the age of 79. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie of 44 years. Loving father of John (Jean), Timothy (Amanda), Deborah, Norman (Erin) and Daniel (Sarah). Loving grandfather to Jordan, Amber, Angela (Maggie), Jade (George), Tristan, Dawson, Brennan, Hannah, Meghan, Noah, Justine, Dylan, Matthew, Sheldon, Benjamin, Lydia and Luke and great grandpa to Payton. Roland will be sadly missed by his extended family and many friends and neighbours. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, October 21st from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 22nd at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
