My twin sister Sharon and I have known Ron since birth. Dad told us that Ron was the one that paced back and forth in the hospital the day we were born. We referred to Ron as Uncle Ron throughout our childhood. He was a brother to Dad. In fact, their bond was much closer than most brothers share - they were BEST friends.I remember playing with Pat and Kathy when we were kids and Dad sharing all their life's experiences growing up. For 50 years he was a part of my dad's life. Ron was the shoulder he needed when Dad went through tough times with our mom's illness, and was there at Dad's side the night she passed away. Even though I didn't see Ron very often, I felt like I knew him because Dad always spoke of him and shared stories of their friendship regularly. We truly felt like Ron was our Uncle. I know Ron was very happy and enjoying life with his partner Wendy. I will be forever grateful for his friendship to my Dad and he will be truly missed by the Landers family. Kim Landers

I met Ron when he was 22 in 1963. We both started work in Ontario Civil service in the same week. He had a caustic sense of humor, dogmatic opinions on a variety of subjects, particularly politics. He was outgoing and personable with a genuine love of people. We formed an instant friendship that survived the decades. Within a year we were bored by lack of challenge and he moved to the rubber industry. I followed within weeks and we both stayed in the industry, although not always in the same company, for the rest of our careers, and never lost contact. In a long career, mostly sales related, Ron developed a wide range of friendships, with customers, suppliers, and fellow workers. He was diligent in maintaining contact ensuring relationships did not lapse and arranged several reunions. His support was unwavering in any situation. He was there at watershed moments of my life, from pacing the hospital at the birth of my twins, thru my Wife`s passing in somewhat similar circumstances. To me he was closer than a brother. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I am sorry I did not know.   We had alot of good times together on the court with all the parents together.    At baseball watching our fathers the `they are so old' play baseball.    Your Dad was never called by his first name by me because he commanded respect `Mr. Lowe' and then he would say Dodie its Ron.  Yeah right.   Cherish the memories and the good times you had.   He will be missed.

I cherish my childhood memories of Cousin Ronnie. Even though we only spent time together in summers in Toronto, he was like an older brother.
