Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 29th, 2012 at 82 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Smycnuik. Loving mother to her daughter Delores Gallagher and her husband Ron, and her son Dennis Smysnuik. Lovingly remembered by her grandson Ryan and his fiancé Kelly Sirbovan. Survived by her sisters and brothers; Kathy, Pauline, Jean, Ted, Steve, Anne, Sophie, her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Joe, John, Peter, Walter, Mike, Paul and her sisters Olga and Mary. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, April 2nd from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Panachyda will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held from ST. GEORGE THE GREAT MARTYR UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (597 Albert St., Oshawa) on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
