Sandy, I've just found out that you're no longer here. I'm in complete shock!  You were an amazing person. So fun. So caring. I have so many amazing memories of us together. Of our families together. Thank you for having been so loving with my daughter, Shelly, when you took care of her. Thank you for being such a great friend. Thank you for so much fun when we socialized together. You were awesome and loved hugely by all. I can still hear your laugh and see your gorgeous smile.  Rest easy and sweet dreams, Sandy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob, Robyn and Justin. My Deepest condolences, I only found out this morning that she had passed. She was the first person I saw every morning on my way to work always gave me a laugh and a smile.
She will be missed dearly very sad and shocked. .

To the Causey family, I'm terribly sorry for the loss of Sandra. She made every morning at the McDonald's drive-thru a cheerful way to start the day. I will miss her smile and the shared jokes regarding my bandana wearing days.

I am so deeply saddened to hear this news. My husband and I travelled through the Ajax Mcdonalds drive through daily and was always so refreshing to see Sandra and her beautiful smile...the Ajax drive through won't be the same. My deepest condolences to her family.

Dear Bob. it was with great feelings of sadness to hear of your loss while in Toronto visiting past co workers. My dearest Bob, Robyn Erik Austin and of course my dearest Justin.  There are no words for me to say that will help heal your pain.  The loss of your wife, Mom, mother in law and Grammie.  Sandra was my dearest friend and co worker for the past 10 years.  We had an instant connection, being Mom's and then Grammie's, and of course wives. To the Causey family: I was a frequent drive thru customer at McD;s who always got a warm smile and a kind hello from Sandra. We both shared each day the love and pictures of our grandbabies, she loved Austin with all her heart. Praying for all of you during this sad and difficult time

To the Causey Family-

I was shocked and truly saddened to hear the news of Sandra's sudden passing from a friend earlier today. You wouldn't know who I am, but Sandra made a big impact on my life. I know her from McDonalds where I would get my coffee every morning on the way to work.

I moved to the area 4 years ago from a more urban centre and was struggling with the cold and impersonal nature of the suburban-big-box-drive-everywhere culture. How do you meet your neighbours? Where are the local coffee shop baristas? How do I make meaningful connections in my community?

Sandra showed me how this suburban community building could look. We would speak every morning about life, work, faith, and family (I heard all about you and that grand baby and the move back to Canada for her daughter). 

I work at a large and active local church and she was always curious about what was going on with me as well over at the church. If I didn't come visit her for a few days/weeks because I was away she would get worried about me. If I came into the restaurant she would leave her work to come give me a hug and chat for a few minutes. She became my friend.

Friends of mine and people in my church community even know the story of Sandra who taught me about how to connect with people in the suburbs. I can't imagine going through the drive thru this week and not seeing her smiling face. 

I am so sorry for your loss. She impacted so many people everyday. Many more than the few stories you will be able to hear.

Please know I am praying for you in this time of huge loss. She cannot be replaced. 

If you would like resources for professional counselling, would like prayer or have spiritual questions, I would be happy to help or connect you to the right people to support you in this time. We have a Grief Share group that meets this Fall for people like yourselves to process loss. And because of your grandson Austin, know that our church has 100s of children his age if you are looking for programs or community connection yourselves.
