It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terrance Wayne Stesco, in his 81st year, surrounded by love. Terry was predeceased by his loving parents George and Anne Stesco and his granddaughter, Rosemary Lynn (Rosie), and leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and kindness.
Cherished husband of 54 years to Marrion, Terry was a devoted family man who enriched the lives of everyone around him. Terry was a proud father to Michael (wife Kathryn), Christopher, and Sarah (husband Brent), and a loving grandfather (Didi) to Lia, Aidan, Sophia, Ellie, Hannah, and Felix. He will be deeply missed by his brothers George (wife Cheryl), Steven (wife Roberta), and Raymond (wife April) and his nieces and nephews.
Terry grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, and cherished summers at Aunt Mary’s Island on Lake Penache, where he spent his days surrounded by nature, and sharing special moments with loved ones.
Terry dedicated 30 years to Ontario Power Generation in Pickering, where his hard work and determination earned him the respect of his colleagues. A man of strong faith, he attended church regularly, finding solace and connection within his community. Known for his chatty nature and genuine interest in others, Terry could brighten any room with his conversation and brightly coloured clothing.
Terry’s passions extended beyond his family and career. An avid gardener, he found joy in cultivating vibrant flowers and plants, taking pride in the beauty and bounty of his garden. A fan of football and soccer, Terry cherished afternoons spent cheering on his favourite teams, the Buffalo Bills and Manchester United. His love for sports was matched only by his love for travel, where he created lifelong memories exploring Canada from coast to coast, the United States, and abroad, including memorable trips to Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria with his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Terry’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Terry’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace in the presence of God, surrounded by the beauty and love he so cherished in life.
