The world feels a little quieter with the passing of our beloved Tom – A man whose warmth, compassion and helping hand made everyone feel seen, valued and welcome. He left a lasting impression on every heart he touched.
Thomas Norman Tullock was born on March 29th, 1951 to Fred and Mary Tullock. Tom was the middle child and was predeceased by his brothers, Joe and Dave Tullock.
Tom loved his family more than anything, and they loved him more than he could have imaged. He married his best friend and the love of his life, Gwendolyn, in 1976. Together Tom and Gwen built a beautiful life filled with love, friendship and laughter. They went on to have two daughters Lisa and Stacey. He was the kind of father every child hopes for – teaching them his love of the outdoors, how to fish, and, most importantly that they were capable of anything. He encouraged them to face life’s challenges and was always there for them.
Tom will be forever missed by his ever-loving wife of almost 50 years Gwen and his children Lisa and Chris. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Stacey and survived by her husband Mark.
He will never be forgotten and will be forever missed by his grandchildren, Dawson (Jolie), Gibson, Kyle and Tru. He would do anything for his “pals”.
Tom is also survived by his brother in law and friend Barry and sister-in-law Carla. As well as many nieces and nephews: Mary, Shawn, Jimmy, Crystal, Randy, Terry, Maggie, Katie, Tori and Carson.
Tom lived most of his life in Oshawa, following in his father’s footsteps and working for the City of Oshawa until his retirement. He was a lifelong avid outdoorsman who love the Blue Jays and Leafs. He loved hunting and fishing with his lifelong friends Alex and Gary and watching games with his buddy Chad (Chris).
Everyone that knew him and considered him a friend will miss his laugh, his kindness and that he made everyone feel like family – we will carry him with us always.
Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street, West. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at a later date.
