Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport Mississippi, USA on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014, at the age of 72. Dearly beloved wife of James for 48 years. Loving mother of Tracy Poole (Steve), Jim (Shana), and Andrew. Cherished grandmother of Joshua, Aaron, Mitchell, Brady and Riley. Dear sister of Carl Hunt (Amy). Valerie will be brought back to Oshawa where she lived and raised her family. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 31st from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 1st at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
