Sorry to hear about Bert's passing!!! I miss the years playing guitar along side him at St. Joe's, I really learned a lot from watching and listening to him play. I hope that he and my dad are back playing together up in heaven!!!

I first met Bert at a Bluegrass jam held at "Andy's Pub & Grub" in Oshkosh WI. We jammed there together on a regular basis and later in Waupun. Several of us including Bert formed a band known as "Sawyer Creek" and played in churches and at some local events. I'll never forget Bert singing " I am a Pilgrim" I loved it when he did that song. My deepest sympathy to the family.
