Alma E. Springer, 109, of Ossian passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. Ms. Springer was born in Adams County on December 20, 1901 to the late William and Emelia (Haugk) Klenk. She married the late William F. Springer on June 8, 1924. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the family farm. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Luella Eisberg of Yoder and Eileen Shanyfelt of Ft. Wayne; five grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Kenneth Eisberg and Alan Shanyfelt and one great granddaughter, Heather Shanyfelt. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, April 18, 2011 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Calling will also be at the funeral home on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8. Burial will be in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to the church.
