BETTY E. DETWEILER-McGRATH, 83, of Ossian, passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011. Born April 30, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, she worked as a File Clerk at Caylor-Nickel and as a Receptionist at Fort Wayne Artificial Limb Company. Surviving relatives include her children, Ted J. Detweiler of Fort Wayne, Susan K. (Terry) Todd of Ossian, Lori A. Coleman of Fort Wayne, Jan M. Springer of Ossian and Julie L. (Troy) Matthews of Virginia; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore R. and Ethel M. (Long) Ireton; stepbrother, Garland Boyd; and grandson, Joshua Coleman. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian with calling two hours prior.
