Betty “Jean” Resler, 81, of Ossian, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011. She was born on November 11, 1929 to the late Charles and Laura (Gephardt) Krill. She was the owner of Resler’s Restaurant and a homemaker. She was a member at First Presbyterian Church, Ossian and enjoyed bowling. Surviving family include her children, Cynda (John) Bunting of Ossian, Debra (Jack) Springer of Bluffton, Rick (Deborah) Resler of Ossian; sisters, Edna Proctor of Columbia City, Florence Roesinger of CA; grandchildren, Eric and Kristen Springer, and Angela Resler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett R. “Abe” Resler.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3-8 pm on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Ossian or American Heart Association.
