Elva M. Jarrett Robinson, 100, of Ossian passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. She was born on November 20, 1917 in Ossian, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Amanda (Kaiser) Hilsmier. She was a bookkeeper for the Urban Garage Co., a Ford dealer in Ossian. She was co-owner of the Jarrett Café in Ossian for eleven years. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Thiele Rd., Fort Wayne. Surviving family include her three sons, Lynn Jarrett, James (Teri) Jarrett, and John (Jan) Jarrett; one step son, James (Donna) Robinson; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her first husband, Frederick J. Jarrett in 1951; her second husband, Kenneth Robinson in 2005; two brothers, Carl and Wendell Hilsmier; and two sisters, Lorene Hilsmier, and Wanda Reichert. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Thiele Rd.
