Michael Mike P. Winans

Michael P. “Mike” Winans, 60, of Ossian, passed away July 27, 2013. He was born on June 30, 1953 in Fort Wayne to the late George and Lucille (Wedler) Winans. He worked for Lincoln Food Service and later at Ellison Bakery. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ossian. He enjoyed spending his time at car shows, watching drag racing, art projects, but especially spending time with his grandchildren outside. Surviving family include his wife, LouAnn (Thieme) Winans of Ossian; children, Shawna (Troy) Moser of Noblesville, Shane Winans of Ossian; grandchildren, Myles, George, and Sammy Moser; and siblings, George (Sandy) Winans of Roanoke, Judith Horstman of Fort Wayne, Priscilla (Richard) Knoth of Portland, IN, Mary Hamilton of New Haven, Linda Myers of Fort Wayne, and Rose (Jerry) Geisleman of Ossian. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6514 East 750 North, Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ossian or Donor’s Choice.
