Norma Jean C. Byerley, 78, passed away, Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born on April 3, 1934 in Ossian to the late Emil and Margaret (Hinck) Springer. She was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Thiele Road and she enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family. Surviving family include her husband, Kenneth Byerley; children, Cheryl (David) Reinking of Decatur, Kristin Byerley of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Nicholas and Emilie Reinking; brothers, Robert (Lee) Springer and Edward (Ruth) Springer both of Ossian; Anna (Don) Witte of Fort Wayne and Elmer (Isabel) Scare. A funeral will be 10:30 am on Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will take place in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or Lewy Body Dementia Association.
