

Paul F. Double, 90, of Ossian, passed away, Saturday, May 3, 2014. He was born on April 3, 1924 in Fort Wayne to the late Kenneth and Ida May (Springer) Double. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked in tool and die. Later in life, he and his wife, Mary Jane, owned and operated Lighted Acres for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of Hope Missionary Church and was a past president of Indiana Committee to Restore the Constitution. "Paul loved and lived for his Savior Jesus Christ, his family, and his country." Surviving family include his wife, Mary Jane, who he had been happily married to for 68 years; children, Linda Schorr, Shirley (Doug) Hillman, Susan Duncan, Steven (Carla) Double; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by three brothers, Eugene, Raymond, and Richard. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Hope Missionary Church, 429 East Dustman Rd., Bluffton with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian.
