Sharon Heyerly, 81, of Yoder passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Sharon was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana June 30, 1943, daughter of Leonard and Maxine Brickley. She was an administrative assistant for Verizon for several years. She was a member of Zanesville United Brethren Church for over 70 years. Sharon enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cats. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sam Heyerly; son, Jeremy (Rhonda) Heyerly; daughter, Gina (Chris Stronczek) Heyerly; grandchildren, Alex (Audrie), Alyssa, Hannah, Caleb, Samuel, Joshua, Emily, Gabby and Olivia; and great-granddaughter, Mckynlie. Sharon was also preceded in passing by her brother, Ned Brickley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Zanesville United Brethren Church, 3092 West Broadway, Zanesville, Indiana 46799 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777. Burial to follow the service at Hoverstock Cemetery. Contributions in Sharon's memory may be made to Camp Cotubic.
