William Hollis Gregory – 86 passed away Thursday May 5, 2011 at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home on Homestead Rd., Fort Wayne. Born in Monticello, KY, July 25, 1924; he was a farmer for 60+ years. He was a U.S. World War II Veteran – 1943-1946, serving with the 656 Tank Destroyer Battalion with the First & Third (Patton) Armies. Surviving is his wife, Helen of 62 years, a daughter Sharon K. (Butch) Ford, two grandchildren, Jess (Stephani) Ford & Heather (Brian) Johnson, three great-grandchildren, Alissa Ford, Jason & Shelby Zirkle. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. He made his home with the late Edward & Rose Dalman. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, May 9, 2011 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 3-5 and 6-8 on Sunday, May 8, 2011. Pastor Tom Datema officiating. Burial at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Zanesville U.B.
