Wilodean M. Duhamell Hilsmier

Wilodean M. Hilsmier, 87, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Whitley County. She was born January 10, 1924 in Zanesville, IN to the late Clarence J. and Thela (Fisher) Duhamell. Mrs. Hilsmier retired in 1984 as a supervisor at Colonial Baking Company after 26 years. She had previously worked at General Electric. She was a member of Ossian 1st Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Donn Hilsmier of Columbia City and Star (Ronald) Rose of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Sherry (fiancé, Scott Wilkinson) Johnson, Ron Rose and Scott (Jenny) Rose; great granddaughter, Cheyenne Johnson; siblings, Martha Biberstine of Muncie, Kate (Bob) Ball of Mercersberg, PA, Lura Mae (Bernie) Burke of Ossian, Geneieve Beck of Fort Wayne, Rosemary Voght of Huntington, and Larry (Donna) Duhamell of Yoder. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Edwin Hilsmier in 1986, 2 brother and 3 sisters. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December, 27, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at Ossian 1st Presbyterian Church, 123 South Jefferson, Ossian, IN with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation will also be on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to the Garrett or Ossian Presbyterian Churches.
