

Fae Ard passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 13th, surrounded by family members. Fae was born on June 8, 1924 to Mary & Leland Stanford of St. Anthony, ID. Fae had four sisters, Mary, Lorraine, Kathleen and Dorothy, and four brothers, Leland, Robert, Woodrow and Bert. After graduating from High School in St. Anthony, she attended Rick’s College in Rexburg, ID. She was married on Jan. 1st, 1943 to Gilbert Ard, and together they had four children: Lynda & Brenda (twins), Michael and Pamela. While Gilbert served in WWII, Fae worked as a legal secretary. Following the war, Fae & Gib lived in St. Anthony, ID, then several locations in Washington state, including Okanagon, Omak, Spokane and Othello.
Fae, and her late husband, Gilbert, were long time residents of Othello, WA since 1962. Fae retired from People’s National Bank where she worked as a secretary and loan officer. She was active in genealogy and family history work, was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Fae is survived by three children, Lynda, Michael & Pamela, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Chapel.
