

Marina Jenny Perez Veliz, age 27, lifelong resident of Othello, Washington, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 6, 2014. Marina was born in Othello, Washington, on August 27, 1986 to Lisa and Edwardo Veliz. She graduated from Othello High School in 2004. Marina was a manager for McDonalds. Marina was a fun, loving, and “full of life” woman. Marina’s hobbies and interests were; music, shopping, dancing, tattoo’s, purses, getting her nails done, make-up, hair and “Spontaneous” road trips. Marina was a very caring and loving person who put her family and friends before herself. She was a comedian, always making everyone around her laugh and feel wonderful. You were more than just a “friend” to Marina, you were family! Marina could brighten up a room just by walking into it. Her smile lit up the place. Marina will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Marina had such an impact on so many people’s lives, she’ll always be remembered.
Marina is survived by her parents, Lisa and Eddy Veliz, two brothers; Anthony Veliz of Othello, Washington, and Edwardo (Annalee) Veliz Jr. of Warden, Washington, maternal grandmother, Delores Hinojosa of Othello, Washington, paternal grandmother Santos (Raul) Veliz of Pasco, Washington, aunts; Esmeralda Hinojosa of Sacramento, California, Amy Hinojosa of Othello, Washington, Terri Copas of Othello, Washington, and Paula (Sam) Veliz of Kennewick, Washington, uncles; Leo (Nicole) Veliz Jr. of Moses Lake, Washington and Jamie (Darling) Veliz of Othello, Washington, nieces; Anikay Maleighah, Hailie, and Riki, and nephews; Miguel, A.J., Camryn, Abrehin, and Jordan. Marina also has numerous cousins, aunts and uncles from the Veliz, Hinojosa, and Soliz families. Marina is preceded in death by her; maternal great grandmother Jenny Soliz of Toppenish, Washington, maternal grandfather Enrique Hinojosa Sr., paternal grandfather Leo Veliz Sr. and uncle Enrique “Ricky” Hinojosa Jr.
